No-Gi BJJ - This is a gi-less submission grappling
class. A must for a wrestler or anyone with the desire to compete in
UFC style grappling scenarios.
Gi BJJ - Traditional BJJ is taught in a gi with pants, jacket, and a
belt. This is a very necessary part of your training as there are
many gi practitioners who have won no-gi tournaments, and there are
very few no-gi competitors that have won gi tournaments. This class
will tighten up all aspects of your grappling.
MMA - As the sport grows through the publicity of the UFC this class
combines all elements of grappling, boxing, muay thai, kick boxing,
and a few others. You need to know every aspect of the game if you
intend to be a champion. Since many fights go to the ground, this is
a program that is %70 grappling based, though not like traditional
jiu-jitsu. This class teaches you not only how to get dominant
position on the ground, but it also teach you how to deliver strikes
on the ground with out losing your positioning. On the other hand it
also teaches very important ground and pound DEFENSE techniques.
Takedowns and Throws - This class focuses on several levels of the
takedown art. You will learn to change levels between a low
wrestler's game and a postured judo players game. This form of stand
up training gives one many options when it comes to dealing with
shorter and taller opponents. Among the arts taught here are Judo,
Greco Wrestling, Freestyle wrestling, sambo, and Brazilian
jiu-jitsu.
